Looking for recommendations for a company to do a classic car pre-purchase inspection in Houston. Companies to avoid also appreciated.

I found Texas 1st Auto Inspections. Anyone used them?

Not in Houston, but Doug at Classic Collision (ClassicDoug here) would spot any issues. Might have to bring the car to him though.....

I've used Sal at Sal's Auto Sport for alignment/frame work on my '68 Bronco. Alignment and frames are his specialty.

He does also restore classics.

He's located on 290 between Gessner and Fairbanks N Houston.

I can't say enough good things about him. I don't know that he offers this service but he's very knowledgeable, honest, and fair.

He's worth a shot to ask if you can't find anyone else.

This is a solid suggestion.

I had Specialty Car Solutions look at my 308 after I bought it, and honestly was not that impressed. They've been nice to work with on other things, though. <shrug>

I would try and find someone that know whatever car you're buying. A Ferrari expert looking at a Corvette won't be very useful.

Maybe auto exam?
