We just got this truck from a family friend. One owner, 35k miles. My son and I are in the process of going through it and getting it roadworthy before restoration. The OEM steel wheels are 16.5". So, tires are limited and tough to find. It turns out Ford also made the same rim in a 16. It's a common rim and I'm told there are millions out there but for some reason I can't find them. They were used on Econoline vans and f250/350 into the 80s and up before Ford changed the bolt pattern.

The rims are 16x7 and the 8 bolt pattern is 8-6.5.

These particular rims are what I'm after because my OEM 12" hubcaps snap onto them and we'd like to keep that part of the truck original. I can buy new rims but I don't want to.

Anyone know where I might source a set, white, in decent shape?

That's probably the route I'll go and have them powder coated white. Just gonna toss on some Firestone's to the rims I have. Might drive around town to the small tire shops and see if they have a set for 50 bucks or something. Thanks.

Humvee military surplus tires are r16.5

They are also 37" tall, so you might need a lift kit.

Hahahahaha

The gubmint has parts still on shelves from 1944 for service….id be shocked if they used a wheel size that wasn't a 16.5". Lol.

Sorry. My apologies. It would actually polish up pretty nice but some kids spray painted graffiti on it a couple of years ago prior to us buying it. I got some of the spray paint off but each panel takes several hours.

F-250 Custom, 4 Speed, long bed.

There may be a couple of new wheels that would allow use of your dogdish hubcaps. Look into Wheel Vintiques Series 82 or Dorman 939-198.

Those should work. I found a few. Thank you for the suggestions. Coker sells some and so does Southwest Wheel. I can have my guy powder coat them for 40 per wheel down the road from me when he gets better.
