Anyone Used Forscan on Latest Gen F150s to Customize Settings??

Howdy All, been lurking the forums on this site for a few years since moving to BCS but finally decided to create an account and post occasionally.

Over the last few years lurking I've had the opportunity to meet a few posters irl by purchasing various things on the classified page including a truck, tomatoes from maddiedou, a couple guns, etc. Everyone I've met has turned out to be really good people.

Anyway, to the point of my post, I was wondering if anyone here locally has used Forscan to customize a few of the annoying settings on the latest Gen F150s and if anyone would be willing to help with tuning the settings on my '22 Powerboost Lariat. Would be happy to pay for the time/effort with cash, beer, a crappie fishing trip at Somerville, or whatever. We sink a trailer load of Xmas trees in the lake every year and usually do pretty well on nice slabs.

Finally, I apologize for the ridiculously long post. Didn't want to pop up out of nowhere without at least introducing myself. Thanks!

Welcome to the board!!

Not local to help - but I bought a Bluetooth adapter and used the free license to solve a problem on my 16 Powerstroke that would have constantly me $$ in town. If you have Ford products it's a powerful tool, and if you don't find someone to help don't be scared to wade off into it yourself!

I've made multiple modifications with ForScan on my '22 Powerboost. Anything in particular you're trying to do?

ETA: I usually go through Somerville about once or twice a month.

That would be awesome man! I'm mostly looking to eliminate the horn double beep when exiting the cab, remove the "full view not available" label from the rear camera, and a couple other minor settings. DM incoming and thank you Sir!

I did both of those to my F-150. I don't have stars, so rtt dot texags at gmail

I used FORscan to turn off the auto start/stop on my wife's Lincoln. It is a very nice tool. Can even program new keys with it.

If yall ever make your way to the woodlands. I would love to turn off the double beep when the truck is running and I step out. Every time I am in the day care line to get my little one in our out of the truck, I am honking at the car in front of me 5 days a week. It's just awful

Unfortunately forscan doesn't work for 23 and up for auto start stop.

I got the Ford performance tune and it's permanently off and on depending on how you push the button and it remembers it.

Ford Performance has tunes that are warranty friendly. They're actually livernois tunes.

I installed one on my 23 Bronco last week. Much better improvement.

Thread hijack. This is timely. I have a new(ish) to me 2022 F-150 Raptor and would love to figure out how to make some changes to with ForScan or similar. Just basic things like turning off the seatbelt chime, adding the three grill lights / Raptor lights to the DRL's, etc. If anyone can help with this that has the App/equipment, it would be GREATLY appreciated and would buy lunch, beer, Bourbon, etc. In Houston (user name only sort of checks out).

Auto start stop eliminator works perfect , but won't do anything for your chimes

Forgive my ignorance on this but what does the auto start/stop do that everyone wants to turn off? Is this the engine shut down at red lights, etc? Why us this feature undesirable? And with my truck being the hybrid and being able to run all accessories on the battery, would I have a reason to want to disable? Sorry for the dumb questions, I've just heard so many people refer to this being a pita and I was wondering. TIA!

Hey Ryan I emailed you but never heard back. Let me know if you didn't get it so I can re-send.

I would be happy to buy the cable and software but they specify the software only runs on Windows devices which I do not own any of. I was hoping to not have to buy a machine just for tweaking a few Settings on the truck but this may be the route i have to go.

If so, I'll post up here and will be happy to help anyone in the area looking to do the same. Thanks yall

Howdy fellas, I'm bumping my old thread here as an update to my original quest to fix some of the annoying crap settings on my truck and to make good on my previous offer to help if anyone else is wanting to do this.

So I never heard back from the initial folks who had offered to help with some tweaks on my 22 f150 and thats understandable as everyone these days, including myself, seem to have extremely full plates just to keep up with the daily grind.

So I located and purchased a used Windows based laptop to run Forscan on and the cable. After watching a few tutorial videos i jumped in and within an hour and a half got all the existing settings backed up and successully changed all but one of the settings i was looking to change. I am so happy with the results! No more aggravating horn honks every time I hop out the vehicle, no more "full view not available" banner in the center of my rear camera screen, seat belt no longer harrasses the **** out of me when i dont feel like wearing it, and a couple others. Overall, I'm thrilled with the results and it feels like my user experience with the truck has greatly improved.

So, as mentioned, the reason I'm bumping this thread today is I previously mentioned in the OP that if i ended up having to buy everything myself, then I'd be happy to help out any of you guys looking to do the same thing on your trucks.

Shoot me a DM if you're local to BCS and would like to do this. I live in Bryan but I'm all over the BCS "Metroplex" lol every day and could meet up just about anywhere. I certainly wouldnt take any money from anyone but, being that i am a coon*ss, i can be easily bought and paid for with alcohol, namely cold beer or whatever lol!
