My Aggie Daughter ('19) is looking at Mazda CX 5's.

Does anyone have a good contact in the Houston area - central, north or west side would be great.

I had a good experience at Gullo Mazda in Conroe recently.

We gave the Houston area Mazda dealerships a chance for our business on a new CX-5 in July. Gullo in Conroe was the only one that could follow instructions and make an offer that didn't include sticker price plus dealer add ons. Their offer was right in the middle of what Edmunds, etc. called a good deal for a new CX-5. Phillip was pretty easy to work with and he has a daugher that started this fall as an Aggie. Their finance people tried to sell us an extended warrranty during the paperwork signing but took no for an answer easily and didn't keep trying.

Phillip is who I bought from as well.

Thanks for the Gullo recommendation. We went by today and met with Phillip. Good guy. Looked at a few CX5's.

She's home now crunching numbers...... It's funny how much they pay attention when it's their money...LOL

Wanted to follow up with the TexAgs autoboard on the Mazda search.

My daughter did her work and went to a few of the Houston area dealerships. Got to experience firsthand alot of the garbage that goes along with buying a new car...

Ended up at Gullo Mazda with Phillip. They had a 2025 CX5 Carbon Turbo that had a little more than she needed. but at the end of the day was within her budget. I went with her to to watch over her shoulder. Did have to deal with the "dealer extras" but they backed off pretty quickly when we pushed back.

Dealing with the finance guy wasn't too bad. He didn't hard sell alot of the finance "extras". Got some good financing through Mazda (think it was 3.9% for 4 years).

She got her first new car and she is pretty happy. At the end of the day I believe she got a good, fair deal.
