After 169,000 miles it's time to replace the CV axles struts and sway bar links. I'm in the 14 Honda pilot EXL and I'm looking for recommendations on these components.

Rock auto MD some forums seem to go between the Monroe quick connect and a KYB SR model. Any recommendations on which is better? Rock auto options attached It seems from some Amazon reviews that people have not been too happy with the Monroe ones but I'd like to know what y'all think.

How about sway bar links? The boots are busted and they are cheap enough to replace since I'm replacing the struts anyways.

And finally CV axle recommendations.. attached are rock auto options. Would like to know y'alls personal experience

I've tried both brands on previous honda cars I've owned. Nothing compares to the oem ride. Not sure why. But if you can go oem do that

OEM is at least 3 times the cost unfortunately and is installs the shock and coil separately. It's my daily commute of 50 miles RT. I'm usually the only driver. As long as it doesn't cause damage to my car or tires it is better than my 169k wornout OEM struts

I've only ever bought Cardone for aftermarket CV axle, and it was fine for my wife's old RX330. No complaints about quality or fitment.

How long do you plan to keep the car? From what i've read, the Monroe struts are fine, and the KYB struts are going to be closer to OEM quality, but both of the quick struts will likely have sub-par strut mounts, which will lead to creaking/popping/squeaking sooner than the OEM mounts.

If it were me, I would pay more for the KYB strut assembly in hopes that the mount is a better quality than what I've read about the Monroe quick strut having.

Thanks I'll look at the cardones for the CV axle. Plan is to drive it until a major issue with the transmission or engine pops up. For the struts I initially was looking at Monroe but more recent reviews have me questioning their quality control (looking at piloteer forums). I don't mind the noises as long as they are not impacting the wear on the tires. Yeah they may wear out faster than OEM but I'm prepared to replace them again if it comes to it. Which is fine by me as repetition will give me more confidence on my other family cars when they need fixing
