We all know about unmarried males under 25 and how their car insurance is super high.
I was talking to my 82 y/o father-in-law and he said that insurance for 2 vehicles in Harris County is now about $2,000 every 6 months. They don't drive anything super special, I think they've got a Camry and a Highlander.
If he's paying $4k/yr for him and his new wife to drive (I think she's about 77), I'm thinking they probably should switch to Uber.
With my parents, my 88 y/o father stopped driving at least 6 years ago but my 77 y/o mother is still driving. Her mother drove until she was close to 90.
My question is, what are the parameters around when your car insurance rates start going up as you age?
