Hey guys. I just picked up a super clean low mikes 2022 F150 XLT. I'm thinking about doing a few add ons and wanted to get the board's opinion.
I would like to add a bed cover, mats ( is there anything comparable to weather tech that are cheaper) and a leveling kit.
Is there anything I may not be thinking about?

If it's a 5.0L, then a whipple and OPGs. If it's a 3.5L, then Goosetune stage 2 and FMIC. If it's a 2.7L you're on your own, but I've heard good things.

Husky liners. I have the xact fit or whatever they're called and I think they have an entry level line as well. Way better than weathertechs that curl up on the sides over time and they're not slick like weathertech either.

Lasfit liners.

Leveling kit depends on if you want it for looks or performance. That's a whole nother conversation

Reach out to Luke at Truck Alterations. I am a big fan of my Lomax Stance bedcover

I loathe bed covers. They all leak. Some will keep an honest theif out. End of the day my truck bed looks worse with the bed cover on.

Swing Case tool box.

Husky floor mats. I went weathertech because I bought the truck in North Dakota and didn't have a mailing address and it was mud season. Other posts are correct they all curl at the ends, especially new, so got to let em get hot hot and have some weight on them to fix it.

Bilstein 6115 front / 5100s or 5150s rear. If you level it spring for the UCA's also. You can space out the rear axle if you like a little bit of rake still. 35's will fit without rubbing this way, no need to google LOL

Powerstop brakes

Stage3Motorsports.com has been good. customer service top notch.

Husky, Maxliner/Smartliner, and 3W liners and OEDRO all make decent mats.

I like Lomax covers too.

Bilstein leveling (new struts) unless you're on a tight budget, but I'm not a fan of the "puck" spacer lifts.

White oakleys if you get Fuel wheels.

Ford used to make a good quality "Husky" style rubber floor mat. I've got them in my 2014 and I really like them Don't know if they still make them or not. I hated WeatherTech in my previous truck. As others have stated they're slick and if they're not clipped down they slide around and they all curl up on the edges.

With the sticking throttle issues from a few years ago they all cut the mats way short of the pedals. Great if your shoes don't pick up dirt and rocks and you only work in an office.

I have a pair of front 2021+ OeM all weather liners in the Houston are if OP wants them. New and unused.

That explains things. My mats always feel like they get stuck right below the gas pedal and I'm always paranoid it will hit gas inadvertently

Yup. When Toyota had those unintended acceleration problems, it was because people including dealers were putting all weather mats on top of the OEM mats.

Everyone freaked and cut the mats to half size.

Aftermarket mat manufacturers doubled down by making the mats much longer for full coverage.

And since I have kids that look like Pigpen from Charlie Brown after sports, I need all the help I can get.

If it is not equipped with a slow open tailgate, you can buy a strut on Amazon and install yourself for like $20 DeeZee is the brand. Absolute must have, if you don't have factory alternative.

My For rubber mats snap into the factory snap in the carpet. Granted I'm not a dumb and removed the factory carpet mats that came with the truck.

I'd wonder about people that put secondary on top of the factory... Then I remember, oh yeah, my parents!

I serviced my mom's car in December and found THREE floor mats on the driver side. The OEM, a Lloyds custom mat, and a Walmart all weather on top of that. Glad her gas pedal is bottom hinged.

The ones on my 2018 were nice, the ones on my 2021 are much thinner. Had to cut back on mat quality to justify the $12000 price increase in 3 years.
