I think he died this month or last, fyi. RIP Scotty, even if I think he had some sort of terrible deal with youtube that made his videos the most recommended ever for cars.

He dies in every month it seems. He's still kicking though.

Yeah I guess his death has become something of a meme in itself now that I went back and checked. Craig James killed 5 hookers kind of. Whatever, I try to keep his videos out of my recommendations.

Moms 3.8L Genesis has 120K miles and other than routine maintenance, no issues.

I'm not sure I'd buy the 2.4L powered Hyundais and Kias.
I think getting a Palisade with the v6 was probably a good idea based on what I've read.

Our family has owned 6 Hyundai's.

2007 Tucson
2014 Sante Fe
2015 Tucson
2019 Sante Fe
2024 Santa Cruz
2024 Palisade

The 2 in bold we currently own. We have not had any horror stories, but I also sell my car after 5 years and it is always under warranty. Luckily we have not had any of those 2.5L turbo engine failures.

We have also been happy with our service and get all our oil changes free at the dealer. Hubby does any other needed maintenance.

He's put out 4 videos in the last 24 hours and had some that reference trump as president. Not sure why you think he's dead.

He got better?
Better is relative...

I bought an Elantra in 2007 and drive the **** out of it 'till it was declared a total loss after being rear ended in Aug. 2021. Had 165,000 miles on it. Only real maintenance was regular consumables + timing belt. No issues whatsoever.

The burning of oil was a defect with their new-at-the-time Theta engines, AFAIK.
