I am looking at buying a 2024 jeep. It has 62 miles on it currently and is listed as a new vehicle on their website (salesman says miles are from test drives). The car is in Lake Charles and they will be driving it to me. When does the Jeep 36000 mile warranty start? Does it start at 0, the 82 miles it has now, or the 180ish miles it will have when I take delivery? Basically, will I have original warranty until 36180ish miles? Thank you.

Don't worry, the 180 miles is a non-issue.

Anything that's going to break will break long before then.

Also, it's the power train warranty that you'll need most (which model, BTW?) and that's probably 7 years / 70,000 miles.

My 2020 Wrangler JLUR spent about 4 months in the shop during the first 4 years of ownership. Granted, a few of those months were extended due to California Covid and "supply chain".

I bet they'll put the 62 or 82 on the paperwork at the dealership, which would then be the mileage at sale, but I'm just guessing. You might ask them not to list the in-service mileage on the forms until they get to.yiur house. I doubt they would have an issue doing that for you. But I would bet if you don't ask they'll fill it all out at the dealership for convenience.

And like the other guy said, the 180 isn't going to be an issue.
