I love everything about it... except the I4.

I pulled 290K out of my 86 325ES I6... sold it... still running after 320K.

If still you're considering it... I'd hit a few enthusiasts' forums to see what you can expect reliability wise... maintenance issues... problems... you know: real world matters that the manufacturer may not reveal. Yeah, it may be under warranty... but...

Me? I'd continue to look for, at the very least, an I6. And none of that turbo nonsense.

Is your budget $60k? Have you considered an M850i or M440i

The 850 is effectively the AWD version of the last generation 6 series. 550hp stock and tunable for a lot more. I love my M6. It'd be absolutely amazing with AWD. Big highway cruiser with unlimited power

M440i is nearly 400hp and tunable for more.

The I4 is the reason I would not buy it. The longevity of that engine and upkeep isn't worth it

For a "fun" car it needs to cause you to have the feels when it fires up. A 4cyl isn't going to cut it.

I had a 435i xdrive and loved it. I'm not a fan of the new kidney bean look. The last gen, with the M-Sport package was much better looking.

Also, hold out for the 6 cylinder turbo if you can. The extra HP is worth it.
