My 2018 GMC steering wheel is showing its age after 178K miles. I put a lace-up one way back when on my 2005 when it hit 200K but I don't remember the brand.

Anyway, any recommendations on a cover? There are way too many options on the interwebs, and I suspect a bunch are cheap Chinese stuff.

I ordered an "OEM style" cover for the cheap feeling urethane steering wheel on my old tundra. It was a thin synthetic leather that you literally had to stitch on, and you tucked the edges in. It was very tedious, but it looked and felt great and it's been there for almost 10 years. I don't know if they make anything like that for your truck or if you would be willing to spend the time stitching it on, but I was really happy with mine.

I did that on my 05 Sierra. Sat in the truck with a cold drink and took my time. I guess I can search for stitch on cover but I wanted to see if anyone had purchased something they like recently

I've thought about replacing the entire wheel, but the airbag procedure scares me. I've watched the YouTube videos but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that repair.

Now, I do most of my own work so I'm capable, just that procedure seems a little sketchy.

I've used wheelskins.com before and thought they were great.

Disconnect battery and go to town!
