I have a Grand Cherokee that I bought in November of 2020 that I have replaced two windshields on. Now I notice a crack coming from the edge of the passenger side that will likely mean the need for windshield No. 4. Anyone else close to a new windshield a year?

Only did it once, but I had to replace the wife's windshield about a week after buying it the car new. That was cool.

This title has to belong to an FJ Cruiser owner

My wife bought a Grand Cherokee new in 2014. I think we replaced the windshield 3 different times in 10 years of ownership with multiple rock chips replaced in between. One of the several frustrating things with that car.

I'll wait for fellow JL Wrangler owners to chime in. But currently 3.

1990s Chevy pickups would be contenders, except the owners never replaced and simply peered around the cracks

im on windshield # 3 on my 2018 F150 , probably would be more than that but I went with a large crack in the windshield # 2 (prob 5 years) since it got cracked less than a month after replaced #1 lol.

I've got two trucks that need new windshields right now.

I used some of the Walmart 'stop a crack' stuff, and so far they haven't spread. Just letting them ride a while, until I need to replace them. Figured I'd likely get hit another time or two by the time I finally fix it.

That's currently happening on mine.

As a former owner of a 96 Silverado I can relate.

No comparison on the windshield however my husband's 22 Chevy 2500 as of 2024 is on its 3rd bumper and 3rd driver bed side panel. First was a guy who pulled into the fire station parking lot then backed into the bumper while my husband was out on a call. Even better he refused to share insurance info. Second was a lady on the inside lane of a dual left who decided to go straight and hit the side panel. Third was pulling the camper going 70 when the left rear tire blew out, crushing the bumper and destroying the side panel. I am convinced that truck is cursed. Let's see what 2025 brings!
