Looking what some of you might do in my situation with this truck. My transmission went out after 191K, and I have replaced it with a 2025. I've looked at a rebuild on the trans here in College Station and it's going to run around 4800 to 6000 depending on what they find. Bluebook value IF it was running would be right around 9K. interior is clean and have tires with less than 3 months on them. Normal exterior wear and tear and a little hail damage from a few weeks back.

Does it make sense to do the repairs and sell it? Two places offered my 2300 for it as is and I just cant stomach that. Thoughts?

If you hadn't already replaced it, I probably would have said to fix it, drive it around a bit to get some of your money back, then sell it. Fix it and sell is probably your best option now.

If your numbers are correct, you are looking at a POTENTIAL gain of $700 to $2000 to fix it first.

That makes it pretty easy to sell as is

I would only keep it and fix if I knew every other system was in great shape. But you've already replaced it, so….

Price one through GM parts. I've seen before where there can be a surplus in parts and the factory reman is cheaper than anywhere else

A handy guy I worked with figured this out and would buy every clean GM truck off Facebook with the trans out. He made a killing putting them back together himself and reselling on Facebook.
