Been ages since shopped for used car. Kid turns 16 in a couple of months and about to jump into the used car market. At least when I try Nada it doesn't make any adjustments for mileage for a car I am looking at. Kbb is the only other guidebook I am aware of, anything other good guide book to utilize. And yes, I know a guide book is just that. Car in question was a clean 05 Camry LE, one owner with 97k miles. They want $6,900, high KBB has it at about $6k

Offer them $5000-5500, see what they say.

Or, put the model in with approximate miles, etc., and see what others are going for on the various car selling websites, in order to get an idea of if they are way off.

I'd look at Autotrader - a lot more private sales on that site. FB marketplace... but that is a bit more variable.

For this much $$, I wouldn't worry about looking at other sites, and just do what I mentioned in the first sentence.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Like poster above, offer them $5000-$5500.

Mostly everyone selling a car privately will start high to see if you bite.
