Such an amazing car. Wonder what it looks like when you get it up on a lift and check out the frame/suspension/etc.

One of these days I want to get a mid/late-80s Monte Carlo SS and resto-mod it. Absolutely love that body style.

First car I bought new was an '87 Monte Carlo SS in maroon. Finally sold it in the late 90's. Of course, I still regret it. We do some dumb shlt when we're young

I'm really lucky that I've never regretted selling a car.

As a result I have 3 cars ('09, '16, '25). Won't ever sell the '09 or '16.

People went crazy buying GNXs with that covid money.

Only 547 went to McLaren. Theres a GNX registry that has data on around 200 that are left.

Had a couple coworkers with GNX daily drivers. One was a middle age dude that kept it stock and mint. Didn't have the lore that it does today. Was the ultimate sleeper.

Other dude in his mid 20s put a loud exhaust and wider tires on the back to the point that it was a cop-magnet. Racked up a couple tickets and a DWI. Got fired over it and ended up selling it cheap to pay child support.

Now 25 years later if you got one of the original 547 it's a $200K+ car minimum.

Lost contact with the guy but he probably wakes up every morning thinking about that GNX.
