So, I posted a rule #1 a few weeks back touting my new vehicle purchase in the UAE, a Genesis GV80. Suffice it to say I did not actually get the GV80, the one they showed me in the dealership and that I had gotten approved on was actually sold to a local, and I got so upset by the entire process I left without buying another one, even though the GV80 was awesome.

I had pretty much decided to go back to the drawing board, when I saw a video for the BMW XM. It touted a huge drivers seat and big HP numbers as well as tons of creature comforts so I gave it a test drive. This thing is awesome. It takes off like a rocket and has so many bells and whistles they're almost too many to name. It parks itself, it has self driving, a lot of the interaction with the system is done by hand motions, and the coolest thing is that the app will give you a 3D rendering of where the car is. I'm currently parked in the valet at the Oakrook steakhouse, and I check on the car and see how the guys parked it.

The reviews on this one are love/hate; but if you're a big dude who needs a comfortable drivers seat, and doesn't need a 3rd row, but wants a sizeable 2nd row with speed and lots of gadgets and gizmos, this is the one.

I had to go double check your original options. "Mercedes Benz SLE, BMW X5, and the Genesis GV80."

So basically you increased your budget by 100K for a bigger seat.

This is a bull**** purchase and waste of money that could have been spent on a badass watch.
