Fella ran a stop sign a couple weeks back and met the front end of my gmc.

After pricing out new and used "pro" trim trucks, I found a used at4 with 24,xxx miles for not much more. It's nice working back in comfort even though this has been a very frustrating experience overall. Left the wreck with some scratches and a pretty good burn from the air bag and slightly dislocated wrist.

Insurance is still sorting itself out. There still may be an opportunity to do that

If I had an extra set of wheels I would've swapped them out at the wrecker yard

Ouch. Hope you recover quickly from the wrist injury. Those can be tough. I no longer step over the gas hose while getting gas…
How did the other guy come out?

He probably didn't see you with the seat reclined that far. Was he even insured?

Glad you made it out ok(ish) , great looking new truck all things considered .

he went to the hospital and I guess is OK

I went and checked on him after impact and didnt get a response, but he was upright in the seat. So I backed off and just waited for EMS. he appeared to be lucid getting loaded into the ambulance

he actually did have active insurance.

still waiting on what minimum if he had on his end. Just hoping mine doesnt have to kick-in to cover the delta on the white truck

been a weird deal for me personally. I am happy with the nice truck, but i am so annoyed by the fact I had to even do it. the white truck was perfect for what I needed for my business from a capital cost standpoint.

I get it. Completely unnecessary headache and cost. Hopefully it works out well with insurance and you can move on without further headache.

Leather seats with the fold down/chair console...how did you find that?

Shame that happened, but the new truck is muy bonita.

But seriously, I have been browsing 2500 Chevy Customs bc I love the simplicity of the gauges and interior and the middle front seat option, but was wishing they made a few in leather.

The white one is the "Pro" trim level.

bought it used that way. I think i got the deal of a century on the white truck

19k miles on it when i got it. came with toolbox, aftermarket wheels, i was able to get my grill guard swapped over from previous truck to that one with no charge and I was able to get a goose neck hitched installed with no charge. it also already had tinted windows and an eyebrow on the front windshield. paid 55 out of the door with a warranty. only thing i added was a $600 spray in bed liner.

when pricing used and new trucks 6 months later. a used "pro" trim with 50k miles was in the mid 50s with no accessories and new truck was going to be about 72 out the door with warranty but with no accessories.

so thats why i decided to spend a little bit more when i found the used at4.

also known as their "work truck" trim for the GMC line.

That was a steal. I guess I never realized how much pricier GMC's were than the Chevy's. A 2500 Custom is the work truck with some (mostly exterior) bells and whistles, but you can get a new one for low to mid 50's. Granted, that's the gasser, but asuming diesel option adds about $10-11k.

And all things being equal, GMC's definitely look better and more well made. Can't put my finger on exactly why though.

yeah diesel is a $9,999 "option" which is already annoying. and agreed, i've always driven a GMC. I looked at replacing the white truck with a Chevrolet work truck and just couldnt get over how plain they were next to a gmc.
