Looking at a rental for a wedding next year in Sedona, and decided to spend a little more on Turo and get something fun for the drive from PHX. Right now I'm looking at a C8 Corvette and an M4 Competition (both convertibles).

Hertz rents the GT500 in Phoenix or Las Vegas, but it gets overly expensive with the mileage charges beyond the small daily limit.

If there are a million Vettes on the road it doesn't change the driving experience for you. I drove one at COTA and it held up against the GT3 and 488. The Vette arguably had the best sound

As I've gotten older, and as American cars have gotten better - I prefer to support American workers unless there's no viable alternative. And in this case, the American car might actually be better. Esp if you have the option to get a Z06

A C8 though?! I've never driven one but a C8 Corvette is not "pedestrian".
