Howdy!

Just pulled the trigger on a 2021 Yota Land Cruiser.

106k miles. Bone stock. $60k as my wife's forever car and (maybe) my weekend fun/camping/tow vehicle.

I've owned a couple 4Runners and she drives a Highlander now, so I'm familiar with Yotas in general. Aside from terrible gas mileage, anyone have any thoughts on short term maintenance/mods I should be looking at? Ownership experiences.

You'll have no problems picking up dudes.... (Lol I saw that comment on r/LandCruisers).

Beautiful LC, my wife drives my former LX570 and I want it back.

HAH, yep that was me. I'll have 12 hours in it today from Nashville to Houston. I'll see if I can take it back for weekends…maybe.

So which one has more inside the cab room, the LC or the LX 570? I don't want the new version of either. We left our 23 460 in park city but wishing we had a bigger model for airport pickups and ski shuttling.
who wants to trade?

Other than the LX having nicer seats (and running boards/chrome & AHC), they're basically identical.

Looks Good! I think there might be a slight lift on it looking at the gaps between wheel and fender.

That's what I was thinking. Nothing obvious underneath, I wonder if it's just the larger tires.

Interesting. Will know for sure when I get it on the lift at home.

I only have hearsay evidence, but I've heard the newer LXs aren't as 'cocoon-like' as my 2011; I know it feels like you're sealed in when you close the door and it drives very 'planted'.

Mine was replaced with a 2021 and the folks that drove mine down when I purchased it from their family immediately got a 2019. Both said the older 200 LXs felt better and I wonder if all LC 200s are like the early 200 LXs as they do look more similar.

They're identical.

Great looking ride. As far as maintenance goes, just stick to the recommended services of oil changes, tire rotations, etc. You really don't need anything else. Look at what's been done recently and/or go with the 100k mile service and get new fluids and filters for peace of mind and to start off clean. And looks like you already have great tires.

I'm keeping mine as OEM as possible. Aside from my Michelins, my next purchase will likely be the ARB rear drawers/sleeping platform. I'd also like to get the LRA 12.5 gal auxiliary fuel tank, Apple CarPlay module, and ARB air compressor mounted in the engine bay.

Great find. She's just now broken in!
Wife has the same one, hope it's her last one ever.
Finally time for new tires 5 years in, any recommendations on a more aggressive tire that rides quiet on highway?

Someone needs to help me understand how a 4 year old vehicle with 106,000 miles is worth $60,000.....

And how the LX, which is almost identical and cost a bit more brand new, would now sell for less.

Supply & demand I guess but I'd rock either.

KBB value has the price range from $56k-$60k. These models are the last of the traditional V8s and no doubt will last 400k trouble free miles. It's crazy how slowly these depreciate but the name and reliability speaks for itself. Once this car is 25-30 years old somebody will jump on it in a heartbeat and take it to the trails.

Hell, I think he got a deal at $60k.

We've had our 200 for just over 2 years now and it's funny how snobby my wife has gotten when she has to ride in my company Ford. The 200's really are great vehicles, even if you are just soccer-moming them.

Still a lot of money, but I was OK with it given how slowly it'll depreciate and how much useful life is left. Amazing how much more the HE's and lower mileage examples are commanding.

She's already loving it, btw. Good choice all around.

Oh, I know what KBB shows and how long they last.

It's the fact that ANY 4 year old grocery getter with 106,000 miles is commanding $60,000 is what's crazy.*

Is this the same V8 that is in the Lexus GX460? Didn't that V8 have some coolant leak problems that are a PITA to fix?

PS Yes I understand about the off road capabilities, but 90% of them never see anything but pavement.

5.7 from the Tundra.

And yeah valley plate leaks are supposedly common. As are oil leaks from the cam tower.
