Howdy,

2014 F150 Ecoboost. Burning smell near the right front passenger side and can smell it inside the cab sometimes.

Took to independent shop and they are saying Valve Covers on both sides and Oil Vacuum Pump are leaking onto exhaust.

$2200

It's usually just the vac pump.

Their labor prices seem high but maybe that's because their rates are high.

10000% this. It's costco for goodness sakes.

Get vac pump done, then re-eval.

The vacuum pump is not hard to do. The only hard part is getting one of the bolts out in that tight space against the firewall. The job is literally disconnecting a hose and then 4 bolts and then replacing. Iirc the part is like $150 from napa. I had this exact same issue a year back I will see if I can find the thread.
