I bought a 2012 in 2018 thinking I'd pass to my daughter at 16 in 2024. She doesn't even want to drive.

I recently swapped my '23 F150 for a like mile '23 GX460 Premium+ with 2nd row captains. So far, I've done the following:

side window/windshield tint
265/60/18 Toyo OC AT3 (will eventually do small lift/17"s but wanted to keep stock tire size for now)
swapped all interior bulbs with LEDs (massive improvement)
replaced the clear tail lights with the red sport tails, like yours
waiting to install factory hitch

I wish I had gotten this thing when I sold my '21 LC200, but very happy to have it, now.

I would check out the Beatsonic carplay module. I believe Lexus dealerships are selling it now and some also are offering install.

Where did you source those taillights -- OEM, aftermarket, salvage yard? That's on my list for my black 2017 at some point.

Also on the factory hitch, if one is just using it for a bike rack or cargo rack, a well-reviewed option I researched is Curt. If one is actually going to be potentially towing stuff, then I'd stick with adding the factory one. Luckily the GX I ended up with already had a factory one.

I bit the bullet and ordered OEM from Bell Lexus in Scottsdale, AZ. I got them during a sale, but still pricey, at $755.57 shipped (looks like they're $890 today).

I'd considered the Curt hitch but ultimately prefer the towing options with the OEM.

Based on the thread title, I was hoping to see a RHD JDM import.

Congrats on the new ride. My neighbor has a GX and raves about it.

If I get a JDM import it's going to be an Acty kei truck or a Megacruiser.

2" lift and some 265/65r18s later, and the only other vehicles I saw getting to this spot to start my hike in for hunting were side by sides.

I have that Curt hitch on my '17 GX. Very easy to self-install and fit perfectly without needing to make any modifications. I only use it for a bike rack or similar. I have another vehicle for towing.

I thought all GXs came with a hitch receiver? Is that incorrect or are you upgrading?

I've been considering this, and I feel like this would make the car almost feel new again. However, one thing I noticed is that this comes with volume and tuning knobs, but the existing volume and tuning knobs are not replaced by this. I think over time I'd get annoyed by having 2 sets of knobs so close to one another that perform the same function. I'm not sure if the existing ones are disabled by having the new ones, but if that's the case, I'd be even more annoyed by non-functional knobs.

Due to that, I'm leaning more towards their version that just adds Carplay functionality to the existing setup. I'm also considering the Beatsonic module and I assume Lexus has faith in it's quality since they sell it themselves. It has a $200 premium over Hamilton's though

Good catch. I wouldn't be able to deal with the two sets of knobs either. I think this seals the deal with the cheaper conversion kit using the factory screen for me.

I wasn't paying attention since I just went to the 200 page that uses the stock screen. It's funny that they try and hide the original knobs in their thumbnails for the GX premium setup.
