Any recommendations for a transmission shop?

Are you dealing with a Daihatsu Midget II or something else?

I've heard good things about Oliver Brothers. I'm prob going to give them a try when and if the time comes.

Any others?

I have seen Oliver and BCS mentioned. Oliver has a couple of recent reviews that are a concern but I don't think any shop would be perfect. Hard to know the whole story.

Its actually for a Tundra.

Charles at BCS Transmissions off 2223. Hands down the best in the area... especially with an older transmission.

Depending on what you are looking to do, I bought a remanufactured transmission from a local Ford dealer and had Stratta Auto Repair in Bryan install it. The dealer delivered it to Stratta and it was a fairly simple process.

Asked similar question recently here on transmission repair. I havent done mine just yet since I'm unsure if I'll just be getting another vehicle but I came across A & K Transmission in Bryan - a mechanic I know just used him a week ago and is happy with the results.
