Gonna be shopping for a car next week and need to do some test drives since I have been driving the same jeep grand cherokee for over ten years. Any specific locations to recommend or steer clear of? It's been a while since I've car shopped. I hate haggling. I just want to get a car and get it over with, but I'm slightly pickyish.

Definitely want to test drive a ford bronco sport, maybe kia telluride, maybe chevy blazer.
Haven't definitely decided on a new car although I would prefer it if I can have a decent car payment (~400 per month). but I know I won't buy a car that is silver/white/black/red unless it is an SUV for less than 10k and an amazing deal.

If you buy used, I can recommend any of the Sewell locations. Their used pricing is pretty fair, and the purchase experience can't be beat. No games, no useless add-ons.

for the record, in case anyone else is looking used, I heard Gillman is no good for used anymore from someone who is there.

Tommie Vaughn's used vehicle selection is usually pretty good and competitively priced.
Advantage BMW is a good option to look for non-BMW used vehicles because the sales people don't seem to know about non-BMW vehicles and try to move them quickly, especially toward the end of the month. I got my current truck there for about $6,000 less than I would have paid elsewhere because they wanted it off the lot.

The Keating dealerships are Aggie owned and an auto board favorite.

I would just pick the dealerships nearest you to go test drive the models you are interested in. Then come back to this board once you know what you want to buy and get a rec for who to talk to and negotiate the rest of the deal online via email instead of playing little "let me go talk to my sales manager" games in person at the stealership. There is a pretty good group of contacts people have worked with here and we can give you a name and contact info for most brands (ie Aggiepaintrain for Toyotas, Reproag for Fords, etc).

I've had good experiences with Sewell buying used cars and I'm sure you can find an Aggie contact on here if you see a car that you like.

I purchased a used car from a Sewell dealership. I thought the sales guy was going to punch me when he got done cursing me out.

In his defense, I made him kick in part of his commission to get the sale.
