What is the general consensus on Active x seats? I see that for the F150's real leather is only available in Platinum and above and the Lariat now has Active X.

Active X is in my 2020 Expedition. I was not aware of the product until the purchase in 2020 but it's been fine for me. It has a soft feel to it and cleans easily. And it's held up very well so far.

Traded in my 2016 Lariat for a 2025 Lariat.

Got the ActiveX seats in the 2025. Really haven't noticed a difference between the leather in my 2016 and my new 2025. At this point it wasn't going to make me walk on the 2025.

Time will tell…

I feel like it would be a lot more durable than the leather. Almost all of the leather in vehicles these days is now sprayed with a clear plastic coating on top. Mostly because the leather has gotten thinner, cheaper, and 99.9% of the people who get leather seats don't ever condition them.

Bingo. Most "leather" in vehicles is barely, if even leather. I actually supply one of the specialty top coat producers.

I have a 2022 XLT but put Katzkins in them. Great seats.
