Here's a picture of the first time I hauled with it. Secretary's Tahoe broke down in Caldwell while her family was headed to SA for spring break (Water Pump). I had done a reverse level to get a better ride, and noticed the suspension bottoming out on bumps so ordered some air bags for the back. Noticed trans temps got 225 or so on the short run. These trucks are known to have overheating problems. Not very heavy or hard work for the truck drivability wise.

On the steering shaft rattle, that is common on all of those models as well as suburbans. The free fix is to undo the shaft bolt where they slide together and for a lack of better term jack it off like 50 times. Lol. Then put it back together and it won't rattle for about a year.

Some people have tapped it for a zerk fitting and grease it when the rattle comes back. That's all the above "jacking off" is doing is moving the grease around to stop the rattle.

I think there is an updated shaft now or a replacement with the zerk already in it.
