Wife has been wanting to get into a full size SUV for a few years and we finally decided it was time. To be completely honest, the Armada wasn't even on my radar, but we saw one when visiting a Sewell dealership and it caught our eye. Decided to sit in it and take it for a test drive and was quickly surprised how quickly this vehicle became a contender/front runner in our search. I personally think Nissan knocked these out of the park. The higher trim levels are practically a QX80. Plenty of power with the twin turbo V6 (which I think is a slightly modified version from the GT-R), very luxurious interior, very smooth ride, surprisingly nice tech, and probably 10k-15k cheaper than a similarly equipped GM/Ford. I know the depreciation and resale won't be as good as the latter manufacturers, but we hope to keep it for a good while. The only other knock is storage space, wish it had an upper glove box store and more under floor storage in the rear cargo area.

Man that's a beautiful vehicle, we had a 16 Armada and absolutely loved it. They did awesome with the new body styles and interior updates.

Wow. I haven't been in one of those since 2020. They've definitely upgraded the interior

Interesting fact: There was no 2016 model year Armada, 2015 was the last year of the old body style based on the Titan and 2017 was officially the model year for the new body style based on the Patrol.

I share this only because I've shopped used Armadas, no snark or "gotcha" intended. They probably were selling both 2015 and 2017 model years at some point during the 2016 calendar year.

I would like to get a 2021 or newer, with the V8, when it's nearing bottom of depreciation curve. But I bought a Sequoia over 3 years ago for $13k and it's run flawlessly since then, so hard to let go of a bargain that I actually also like. The 3 row SUV just fills a family need for a 3 row road trip vehicle and something to tow with, I don't drive it much.

The new Armadas look great and get good reviews, congrats to OP and wife.

Great looking truck!

I think Nissan makes great vehicles but their marketing department is awful at their job. If they'd done better marketing, the Titan would still be around I bet. Behind the V8 tundra, it was probably the most reliable half ton truck you could buy.
