1975 F-250 Crew Cab highboy
Original 360 V8, manual, factory AC and power steering. It's a little beat up and has rust, the interior is fantastic.

I found this sweet baby in a neighbor's barn. I went expecting to find a 90s Ford that I could maybe use interior pieces to use on my 96 F-350. My jaw hit the floor when I walked into the barn and saw this. It was in there for 18-19 years since it apparently had transmission problems. I took a video of us airing up tires, hooking it up, and bringing out of the barn. I'm still working on other projects before starting on this one. Considering making a YouTube series out of the process.

Title issue solved. Many thanks to the amazing and wonderful 1ags.

Title issue - registered owner is deceased. Purchased from the daughter, who is the legal owner. She isn't able to find the title. She went to the title office and was unable to file for a lost title due to it possibly being registered under an obscure llc or ranch name, which was the case with another truck I bought from her. The tax office wouldn't give her the actual name under which it's registered, would only confirm that she didn't have the exact name when she guessed at it. Last license plate number is U1V944. VIN is FZ6YCW24803. If anyone knows where I can get info so we can file for a lost title, I'd appreciate it. If not, I'll be working on a bonded title.

Bonded title.

You'll have to pay a company to supply the bond. 3 year period for an original owner to dispute it (bond company would pay the owner for the truck, if it's ever disputed). In 3 years with no disputes, you go back to the tax office to have the bond requirement removed.

Love old dent sides, that is going to be a sweet truck once restored.

For the title there are services that will get you a new title through the state of Indiana. Never personally had to use one but would look into it. NoNonsenseKnowhow on Youtube used this service for a couple of his projects.

There are certainly others on here who know more about it than I do but, as next of kin, she should be able to get the title transferred to her name.

Any old paperwork or insurance papers in the glove box with the owner's name, or business name?

My father passed away last year and my mother had no trouble getting his truck title transferred to her name.

Oh, awesome truck by the way.

I know OP said they resolved this issue, but just for future reference, go through filings at the Secretary of State and Comptroller's office -- assuming in Texas. Use equivalent for out of state. For years, Texas has required public information filings and the original LLC/Corp. filings should still be accessible. You can also check DBA records for most counties. There is a DBA listed in Dallas County that I filed in like 1987.

This is to get exact names from that era. If getting the exact name wouldn't have mattered, well, I can't comment further. At least, not off the top of my head.

Right there with you. I zoomed in on that and took me back to a different era.

OP - Congrats on an awesome find! Any more to the story like how it came about to go look at it and how long it had been sitting? Always amazing to me people can just abandon stuff and then time passes while whatever just stands still.

Very cool.
