I'm in the market for a 3/4 ton diesel truck with a little luxury and tech. I was 100% buying a Ford, until my wife suggested I try the Ram. My initial impression is that the Ram is a more comfortable ride, has a nicer, more modern interior, but is lacking the power of that powerstroke. I'm fine with that, especially considering the Rams are close to $10k cheaper and I think they are a beautiful truck. My hesitation is in regard to reliability. It seems like the new models (25-26) are plagued with gremlins. DEF level sensors, wheel speed sensors, uconnect locking up, etc.
Am I just suffering from that internet info plague, where a small minority of unhappy owners poison the well? Similar to Ford CP4 failures. I dont know a single owner with that issue, but the forums and facebook groups are full of them.

Anyone with real world experience?

I've had them all I really like my 25 ram. The mega cab is a game changer. FWIW the 8sp transmission in the ram appears to be better than GM or fords offering right now.

have you been inside the new super duties? The screen and tech are pretty darn good. They moved to match the Sync4/5 like the F150s in... 2023?

The Lariat with Ultimate package has just about everything you'd want: Heads Up Display, lane keep, cameras everywhere, pro-trailer backup, cooled seats, memory seats. Basically everything the platinum or KR have but massaging seats.

Also, if you get the Tremor F250, it's basically a downrated sticker F350, meaning it's got the rear-end of an F350 (payload) and also has the more heavy duty 10speed transmission the 350s have. The 250s (non-tremor) have the lighter duty 10speed in it. That heavier duty transmission has had less issues than that other.

All that being said... the Rams are good looking but have had some reliability issues.

Hopefully the EPA delete regulations get finalized and everyone can delete their diesels.

Yeah, I test drove a Lariat Premium Saturday. It is nice, but looks really dated compared to the Ram interior.

How many miles on your '25? Any issues?

The Rams just have the MEGA touchscreen thing and man... those seem to be distracting.

I sure hope Ford doesn't do what they did to their navigator/expedition for the trucks. Sometimes too much tech and screens and gadgets is distracting.

Have you looked at the new Denali's or Chevy's?

I agree the screen is too big. I'm not a fan of the GM line.

Best part of Ram screen is the CarPlay split. Half screen for that and bottom half whatever else you want.

Didn't think I'd like it, now miss it in other cars.

0 issues in my 2020 cummins mega cab. Been looking at new trucks and think will just (delete and) keep this one another 5+ years.

If that's your plan don't go drive a 25+ I cannot overstate how much better the 8speed is than either 6 speed was.

A tune to boost pressure helps but you can't tune extra gears and it's way smoother

Love my new to me '24 Ram 2500 Cummins. Highly suggest a mega cab if you can swing it. After the issues with my 10 speed GM truck I'm happy with the 6 speed but I'm sure the 8 speed would be nice.

I did think the Super Duty seats were more comfortable though but I'm happy with my purchase so far.
