I got in a fender bender, repair estimate calls for new rear bumper. I'd prefer to just put a Ranch Hand on it (or a similar alternative if there's one the board likes.)

My question: Ranch Hand site says both the Sport and Midnight models won't fit due to the brushed aluminum tailgate insert on King Ranch and Platinum models. Is that true?

I swear I've seen some of both with Ranch Hands installed.

There should be ample adjustment to make it work but definitely double check. I don't know for certain but my opinion is that The boneheads that install them probably slam them high and then crank it down and the first time someone opens the gate it wrecks the chrome insert. Most people installing them at home test fit and adjust and test fit and adjust so no problem.
