I have to do a total replacement on a 2014 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2 with 184K miles on it. Mechanic buys from Jasper and that would be $4800 for the transmission, itself. This isn't going to be a primary vehicle for me so I'd like so spend as little as possible here. We will either keep it as a spare vehicle or I'll just sell it. Anyone have any recs?

I have no first hand knowledge, but I have only heard bad things about Jasper products.

If it's a secondary vehicle, why not rebuild the one you have? BIL did that on his 2015 Tahoe 5.3L for about $2,500. Still runs strong.

My mechanic said a rebuild is off the table, at least for him. I am looking around at some rebuild shops in the area now though, Thanks for the info!

Try Rowlett Transmission. Jeremy probably still runs it, he'll fix you up I bet.

If you are in Fort Worth, I highly recommend Brights Transmission on the west side of town. They've done a great job for me multiple times.
