The funniest part was when that one chick ate her own catered food then was shocked at the poor results she received. The chick that was into anime porn

People at work asked if I'd watch it, and I had never heard of it before but said from their explanation that it has a vegan agenda. I also said, them knowing that I do carnivore, that I wouldn't watch even if it was pro meat. These documentaries are ALWAYS skewed to the person's agenda and aren't worth crap. Listen to different people (podcasts) and read the research yourself. Also understand that research is flawed (one study showing saturated fat is bad, but the participants ate muffins with saturated fat..).

I enjoyed the series. As a cattle raiser and avid vegetable gardener, I don't disagree with anything they have to say about the cattle industry or dairy industry. I did have a concern with how processed foods are bad for you but vegan food, which is heavily processed, is better.

That said, my takeaways are that people are fat cows and they eat far FAR more meat than is necessary. No one needs to be vegan but there is no shortage of studies tying all sorts of diseases to excessive meat intake. I grew up with meat and butter at every meal and after my mother died at 60 from colon cancer, we don't eat processed meats hardly ever. Maybe a hamburger once or twice a month, but primarily we eat venison.

I fully believe a plant based diet with some real meat sprinkled in occasionally is the way to go. In other words, a combination of both twin diets.

At our TSCRA gatherings, I can say there is quite an uproar about meatless products. So there is a fight that will be a thing although I believe it to be a losing battle. The meat and dairy industry have a lot of money to lose with vegan and plant based movements, so it's no shock that the majority information coming out about meats is "good".

I think if people just eat a more reasonable diet (a number 1 at Whataburger is not reasonable) then folks would be better off, but it's not my business and I don't think it should be pushed on anyone that doesn't want to do it.

We also can't lose sight of the fact that the world population in increasing quickly and if we don't want to start reducing population numbers, then feedlots, GMO, and all the nasty stuff the greenie weenies cry over are absolutely 100% necessary.

Your great grandparents didn't need feedlots because there was enough meat to go around between people
Not being gluttons and there simply being less people.

Have not seen the doc but heard about it. Just as an FYI for people thinking the results from study in this doc are worthy to based decisions on, they're not:
