Had regular eye appt today to get new glasses. They did a Neurolens test on me and said I had an eye misalignment. They recommended Neurolenses to help correct it. But the lenses by themselves are $900. Yikes. I'm already having to move to progressive lenses. I've just never heard of Neurolenses and that is a hefty price.

Anybody else use these lenses?

Have you ever had problems with double vision? While sober at least?

I'm waiting on a pair as we speak. I've had prism in my lenses for about 20 years, and they said this is better. I hope so.

No. They said my eyes try to focus a little behind what I'm looking at, like a screen. And that leads to headaches which I've experienced, and eye strain and tiredness by the end of day which I've also experienced. I think I've decided to pass. They are moving me to progressives anyway so I'm going to have enough to get used to. $900 just too steep for me. I've gone this long with the normal lenses.

Who is "they"?

Ophthalmologist? Or optometrist? You don't have to answer but If you have anything outside of just correcting near/far sightedness, I'd see a doc or maybe even a strabismus specialist if it's severe.

Optometrist for me. I have problems with my right eye that go beyond just the usual myopia/presbyopia and astigmatism (which I also have).

I think you are making the correct choice for now. If you continue to have issues obviously you could explore this option later.

Last month, my wife discovered that it is not normal to see double unless you're focusing your eyes. She went to a NeuroLens test and she does in fact have an eye misalignment. Her glasses were $700 and have changed her world. It's worth every penny. No more headaches (after adjusting.) Less neck pain. Heck, she's even more pleasant in general!

I've had my glasses for 2 days now and am really impressed. My distance vision was clearer immediately. I'm still adjusting to reading my laptop, but it's mainly adjusting to progressives after many years in lined bifocals. Takes me a little while to find the sweet spot in the morning. Reading my phone and books is really comfortable.
