Anyone else notice hair loss or other side effects from creatine?

I started taking it 10 years ago and noticed immediate hair loss and extreme dry eyes at night so stopped. Kind of forgot about that and started again this year, and noticed the exact same side effects so stopped again.
I believe for a small amount of people, there are studies that does show this is a side effect.

Started with 5 mg per day about a month ago. Do you take on days you don't workout? I'd assume so to keep levels steady....but at 49 and life long workout guy this is my first time using it.

Every day. Try to take it at the same time in the morning with all my other old man pills just so I don't forget.

Yeah I have the powdered and using the "pour in mouth, swish with orange juice" method. Looked at the capsules but the brand I was looking at you had to take 2 capsules twice a day. Pass on that.

I just throw it in a cup with a little water and then shoot it.

The pills are wayyy more expensive. I have a bottle I keep for when I travel since it's way easier to pack that. But stick to the powder other than that.

Bump of an old thread….
Any particular brands y'all prefer? Any to avoid?

I just use the Optimum Nutrition brand off Amazon, the powder version.

I own some of the pills of the same brand for when I take longer trips and don't want to miss days.

Saw this thread and there is some T bashing.

A. Your body produces T -- you need it. If it doesn't, that's a problem.

B. Using TRT, under the care and supervision of a physician, with regular bloodwork, is NOT gonna give you hair loss, b*tch t*ts, and have you running around in a rage like the Incredible Hulk.

C. Abuse of T, like pretty much everything else is bad, yes. If you drink too much water, you can kill yourself. It's all relative.

Edit: I have a jar of creatine in my office desk. I put one scoop in the morning, 5 g. Nutricost Performance from Amazon. The one I have at work is flavorless. I have a fruit punch flavored one at home.

Same here. Vitamin Shoppe will run some good deals on that brand occasionally where you can buy one jug and get one half off fyi.
