Day three of my journey back in the gym. That 4:15am alarm was brutal this morning.

20 minutes on the treadmill with incline followed by a leg workout. Nothing crazy but my main goal for the first couple weeks is to get in the habit of going and doing something. I don't want to burn myself out too soon.

My original plan was a 5 or 6 day PPL split but I'm wondering if I should adjust until my body gets used to lifting again. The extreme soreness in my arms from pull day kept me from doing a full workout on push day. Or maybe I just need to lower the weight and slowly build up.

Just thinking out loud. Thanks for making these threads. They act as sort of a journal for me to keep myself accountable.

Pretty sore from legs yesterday. Did a quick pull day, then an hour walk at an incline with some light jogging mixed in.

This evening we did a family workout. Kids are getting the hang of jt. Afterwards I did my wednesday full body lift routine.

Long Warmup

Build to heavy 1 rep bench

Workout 4 rounds of:
2 min max calories stationary bike
12 dual dumbbell overhead press - challenging unbroken weight
12L 12R split squat lunges w/same dumbbells
12 dumbbell chest flys moderate weight
12 tricep dips off bench

Then 100 good sit-ups for time.
