Some doctors wont work on it. Old school i guess. Since normal range is 250+. He said i was normal even though low. I was normal for someone in their 70s. but not normal for someone my age.
This is why I am trying to find a new doctor. But wanted to find one that is pro TRT, so i dont have do do the dance again.
My urologist helped me a lot, but he closed his practice and moved out of College Station. When he left I didnt have a doctor to continue with the treatment. So i tried my GP. After that i went to a subscription service and teledoc. I am on it now, but due for bloodwork and renewing so figured its a good time to find a new doctor that is local.
I haven't talked to her about this from a male perspective but Kelsey Campana at St Joe at Tower Point is our GP. She's a nurse practitioner but I have no clue who her supervising physician is. She was very supportive of my wife and said she's a believer in the BioTE program.
One thing to consider if you can pay cash just go that route and eliminate your GP altogether. I went straight to the provider for BioTE because after doing a lot of homework and talking to friends on that program I wasn't willing to have a conversation with a GP that might try to change my mind. Unless your insurance requires a referral that's something to consider.
