I was selected for the Berlin Marathon and I don't even remember entering the lottery. Anyone ran this?

Anyone know if I'm out $400 regardless of whether I want to run or not?

For context I've run Houston 4 times so I've done it before but flying to Europe for 26.2 seems a lot more difficult

Did it in 2022. Kipchoge and I both PR'd that day.

Really fun and flat course. i really recommend the race.

I flew into Berlin the day before and stopped at the expo on the way to my hostel near the start/finish line. It can be a real **** show, so they earlier you can get there the better.

If you search "Berlin Marathon 2026" on Facebook you'll find a group with lots of veterans and newbies talking logistics and planning.

Also, when you finish, you should go to Octoberfest in Munich. It's a hell of a time.
