I've run out there at that park and it's not technical but there won't be a lot of flat stuff at all and some pretty steep stuff but not super, super long.

That said, coming from the gulf coast, it may still feel like mountains.

Yep, that thin air will definitely be tough. I'm going to keep my expectations low and just hope to have a good time.

Yeah, the course profile looks like there's lots of ups and downs. That combined with the elevation will definitely make it rough for my HTX lungs/legs.

What are your thoughts on shoes? I'm assuming a trail shoe, but unsure whether to go with something lighter (Peregrine 15) or thicker/softer (Mafate Speed 4 or Ultra Glide 4). It's probably just a question of comfort as I'll be so much slower than the CO runners that shoe choice won't matter for me haha.
