Does anyone have any experience with this? Specifically treating PTSD.

Expectations? Number of sessions? Results?

I tried to search the forum and didn't see anything about this specific type of treatment.

A guy I work with was supposed to do that last week. We both have anxiety and depression but I believe he also has PTSD because he had an adult son who committed suicide several years back and he's struggled ever since then. He and I both had good results from ketamine on treating anxiety but he's looking to decrease the amount of medications he's on. His plan was supposed to be basically 8 hours a day for 5 days. I'll try to get an update from him. He said it was going to be around $3k and not covered by insurance.

My wife does this at at University of Florida Brain Injury Center.

Depending on the number of events (trauma or emotional) and how you process, could take a couple of sessions per event.

The method itself is very neat, be prepared to have some the most wildest and wierdest dreams of your life post sessions.

Recurring nightmares of The Event are kind of the thing I'm looking to move on from.

It's been a long time and I am seeking non pharmalogical interventions for it. I have read quite a bit about ketamine therapy, but do not wish to use it, if at all possible.

Yes absolutely! The therapy allows you to process, desensitize and in a way thats more therapeutic leading to those events/stressors becoming more positive.

I don't have experience with this treatment but have had success with a similar treatment called Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Treatment was very simple and very effective for me. I'm in Houston and happy to give a rec if you want.
