You need to research the sweetheart ring Info. I'm class of 1970, and my wife has a '70 sweetheart ring. I think they ended with the class of '72, maybe '74.

What may have ended in '63 was the AMC sweetheart ring.

My wife graduated from high school in 1962. She was a member of the National Honor Society and she was not allowed to attend! Even when I was a student she was denied admission. (1961- 1964), because they had to be daughters or spouses of faculty members. Dumbest damn thing that I have ever seen!!

Wives, daughters of faculty, could attend classes in the summers, several years before the 1963 authorization for Co-Eds. I was there. It was kinda nice to see a female . (Still is!).

My fish year was 1966-67. I knew a few women in school but they were few and far between. My sterling study habits got me into the Army until Jan '71. When I came back as a married Day Duck there were a lot of women, the baseball team even had their early version of Diamond Darlings. Fall of '74 they had their first female Corps outfit, commanded by a male of course. And while it didn't go well, so I was told, it went a helluva lot better than it did at USMA and VMI.
