My first choice also, standing on the Grassy Knoll next to the picket fence or on the 6th Floor TSBD within eyesight of the "snipers nest"....Gota De Limon said:
So many choices but for me it would have to be Dealey Plaza. It would satisfy a curiosity that I'll have until the day I die and confirm or assuage so many suspicions about so many things.
Thanks. I was aware of the pyre & marker near St. Josephs. The other site I believe is a block or so southwest on Commerce St. near the River Center parking garage that is not marked. Would love to see the Reimagine The Alamo group properly identify and erect an appropriate marker at these sites.Rabid Cougar said:Northside of East Commerce Street adjoining the Ludlow House......Cen-Tex said:

Passchendaele, (Third Ypres) July -November 1917. Defensive trenches and tactics had reached their zenith by this time and offensive tactics, especially the use of concentrated artillery rolling barrages, had been developed to counter them. Whole sale butchery of the infantryman at its best.Chipotlemonger said:
It's probably not a coincidence that no WWI events are listed, the carnage was just other worldly.
That being said, I think that seeing Verdun, Somme, or any of the western front during that war would be something to behold. The trenches themselves and the obliterated landscapes are held in pictures and low quality film, but it'd be something else to see, smell, and feel them real time.

One sided? How else -- impossible to have been otherwise -- both sides didn't win.JTrainsBabyCousin said:
The Nuremberg Trials..
So I could witness first hand what a one sided farce they truly were.

Farce? Only to the extent that every action of Man is a farce.
You wouldn't have called summary firing squads or hangings a farce, but you'd have another term handy.
The floor is mine?.. To discuss the many known lies and torture that occurred during these trials? Lol.. This would take hours of back and forth discussion, but.. before the discussion even sniffed the most intriguing of its stages, the thread would be locked.jickyjack1 said:

You will consider this a cop-out on my part (and I partially don't blame you).. I consider it diligence towards the OP and unto the thread itself.
I'd love to debate this and many other facets pertaining to it.. It has just proven to be fruitless to do so on TexAgs many times.

If you could only view it once, I think my attention would be on the picket fence. Was there a shot or two fired from there or not?JABQ04 said:
I think the point is to be there and see and hear for yourself. Maybe try to see if there is truth in Oswald being alone, or the real deal with the grassy knoll or who the heck the babushka lady was. So many points of contention with that day as to what really transpired. Not wanting to see the mans head explode, but I'd be interested in being there on repeat and see what really happened on the 6th floor, then again at ground level, then behind the white picket fence.
