The M1 steel helmet with camo cover brings back a lot of memories.

I wore one like it for a long time.

When we were kids, we would ask an old vet in our neighborhood if we could wear his WW1 German 'Stahlhelm' helmet he brought back with him after the war. Always thought those side lugs on the helmet made them look cool.

Somewhere I had a Russian helmet. I also have a whole bunch of Soviet/East German hats, etc. I almost certainly could part with something of the latter.

Nice collection. I collect bayonets.

In my 28 years as an Infantry Officer, I went through

I was not sent to the desert for the 1st Gulf War, so I missed out on the Chocolate Chip Unis.
