1968 started out great, January 1st we beat the Bear and the Snake in the Cotton Bowl. I was there, an eyewitness to the "Bear Hug". The year kinda went downhill after that.

I was there too, it was a great start for a bad year. First Aggie game I ever attended in person thanks to Chris Gilbert and his family. they bought tickets to the game but decided they didn't want to go anymore and gave them away to a needy Aggie family.

Star Trek / The Original Series kicked off its 3rd & final season with Spock's Brain (Sept. 20, 1968).

"Brain and brain! What is brain!?"

And this wasn't even the worst episode of the 3rd season ...

I was a fish the fall of 69 at A&M, and it was not the same there as many other universities across our country with the anti war protests. It was quite the opposite with a much more strong and influential corps and overly male students. Very few had TV's and social media was a non factor. We were a very sheltered school compared to many schools. A Kent State could never had happened. (May 1970)

I don't remember that coming up in the doc, but they did mention that The Graduate, Bonnie and Clyde, Planet of the Apes, and Night of the Living Dead as movies that came out that year.
