Anyway, here's some fun pictures they've posted
The first military test flight of the SR-71 (Blackbird) takes place at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California, United States. Aboard was Col. Robert Stephens of Gilmer, Texas. Robert was also a graduate of Texas A&M. Great photo of a super-cool plane! pic.twitter.com/BzuHSTCQPk

A man hauls water the old-timey way in Brownsville. This was taken during the 1860s by noted photographer Louis de Planque. It's one of the oldest photos I have tweeted. The man's hat is marvelous! pic.twitter.com/p5mOSIXyZK

Stephen Doc Watson shared this photo of his half-sister's grandmother, Hattie Lou Hudson, as "Sweetheart of the Corps" at Texas A&M in the early 1900's. These elite cadets were known as the "Ross Volunteers." The background building is the original mess hall at Texas A&M. pic.twitter.com/TKawrurTQ7

6th street in Austin, 1866. You're looking east from 200 east 6th toward what is now I-35. Back then it was still Pecan Street. The man on horse is William Oliphant, who opened a jewelry store on Pecan Street in 1852. The boy is Will Carter. From the @AustinPublicLib pic.twitter.com/1Ly5CSK3To

"Experts" have long held that the smiley face was created in 1963 by graphic artist Harvey Ross Ball. Those "experts" must not have consulted the brand registration books in Pecos County, or they would know that it was created by a Texas rancher and recorded on May 8, 1882! 😃😉 pic.twitter.com/ipcwbcltAs

One of my all-time favorite Texas photos. Men drinking beer at the Tondre Saloon in Castroville circa 1905. This structure still stands and is used as a meeting room at the Castroville State Bank. This is what it looks like from the outside today: https://t.co/Ha1EIMk113 pic.twitter.com/zPIu1X8Hg1
