I got this on Audible a couple weeks ago based on this thread. Amazing stuff going on, and he's on about 23 years old in the book right now.

Some of the stories make me think George RR Martin got a bunch of his ideas from here

Update. Finally finished last week.

What an amazing life that saw so much upheaval, and the way he navigated it was incredible. The swinging fortunes, levels of intrigue and deception really are stranger than fiction. Grateful for the recommendation.
