Have any of you ever been to the International Artillery Museum in St. Jo Texas?
In North Texas near Gainesville.

Looks like an interesting museum.

Bottom pic with the M198. That was a man's artillery piece,
Glad the 777 dropped like 8K pounds off though.

Looks interesting but push on a little further north to Ft. Sill.

Yeah, the Sill museum is amazing. Cannon overload. Everything from Revolutionary War pieces to truck mounted nukes.

Then you can also visit the old Post and the museums there. Go pig out at Meers store later

Don't forget Quanah Parker's grave.

If we're going to do the whole Ft. Sill/Lawton thing, I loved the old parade grounds and the museums there. Medicine bluffs is interesting, seems like there was a small zoo there years ago. You can drive by the Cav detachment, I don't think there are any tours. Nice view from Mount Scott. Medicine Park is...interesting. I like the Wichita Mountains refuge, and as I said before Meers store is legendry.

Looks like El Greco is closed. Too bad, it looked like crap from the outside, but had great Greek food.

Almost forgot - the vehicle park at the Ft Sill artillery museum has the only example of the Crusader howitzer, which was never put into production.

A friend of the family runs the Stonewall Saloon Museum which is also on the square in st Jo. Haven't made it up there yet to visit, but it is supposed to be enjoyable.

I used to frequent the Dairy Queen in St. Jo. I wonder if it's poor form to enter the museum with a Hunger Buster and shake.

My family lives in St.Jo and I have been to that museum a couple of times. It is worth the trip up there.

Now it sounds like I have to make a trip up to Fort Sill
