My wife just received a ton of ancient pictures/letters/documents dating from the mid 1800's thru the mid 1900's. She is wanting to prepare a detailed referencing of each picture/document's relevance to her family tree. A simple genealogy like ancestry.com would be helpful....however, a website with more detail would be even better.

What are you suggestions for the best paid website to look for such information. What have been your personal, helpful experiences?
