He shared that Apollo 13 movie was very accurate from his perspective. Except the vest was on a hanger not in a box.
My first presentation made out of college was to Kranz. I can't recall the details, but we were trying to get a change made to something in the simulator. My boss said don't read your flip chat, he is capable of reading. Man, I was nervous and I really didn't know all his accomplishments at the time. He is a true American hero.
I read somewhere that Gerry Griffin's contributions to Apollo 13, among other missions, were every bit as critical as Gene Kranz's. Maybe it was Chris Kraft's book Flight.
Anyway I don't recall that it was derogatory towards Kranz necessarily. He was just saying that Griffin deserved just as much notoriety
