What are some suggestions for reading material for Business, or Economic, espionage? The type of spying that is deeply effective and allows organizations to be taken over. Thank you in advance.

Different kind of espionage but espionage is espionage and I am sure you can look up the books associated but this is what I came up with-

Argo - Hollywood set up fake movie company in order to get hostages out of Iran

War espionage
Counterfeiters - hitlers plan to print currency of USA and England to sink their economy's - personal note my grandfather was in ww2 and his unit discovered a pow camp that printed some currency

Operation Mincemeat - movie about the allies convincing the Germans of a different invasion was going to take place


Corporate espionage movies

Michael Clayton - George Clooney plays a lawyer and ethical questions are abound
Wallstreet - Classic corporate espionage movie - Douglas and Shein


Books
Any John Grisham book - mostly lawyer but entertaining as hell start with The Firm

Ghost Wars - Steve Coll

About US/CIA involvement in Afghanistan from the cold war to 9/10/2001. Fascinating book and seemed really well researched. There is an interesting section of the book talking about how the US Gov worked closely with energy companies in central asia to gather intelligence.

I learned a ton from reading the book and really enjoyed it. Pullitzer prize winner.
