Hey aalan, any updates on book signing tour for the upcoming release? I saw that Amazon has a delivery date of May 31st and wanted to shake your hand and get a signature once I get your book.

I know that most signings are scheduled months in advance, so I wanted to start a topic for your to post the schedule.

Thanks for the ask. The publisher has only arranged the one at the Texas State Historical Association meeting in March. I'm reaching out independent of them to find others. Will be reaching out to bookstores, etc. Have also reached out to some DRT, SRT and other groups. Nothing to announce just yet.

That being said, these folks are typically volunteers and it's often hard to get the right person or get a quick response. So if anyone is part of a history-themed group or even a Lion's Club or other group that needs a presenter, reach out to me at info at lostwarfortexas. com

Book update: Edits are all done, waiting for the final version of my cover. Spending time making updates to the Handbook of Texas articles relevant to my people. That's a slow process, but I've got the following ones in:

Magee, Augustus William (17891813)
Kemper, Samuel (17761814)
Shaler, William (ca. 17731833)

I have one in the hopper with them and just submitted an edit to the arch badguy of Texas History, Juan Davis Bradburn, who has a minor role in my book, but is only important for his future role in Texas.

Oh, and I probably didn't even mention on here that I had a Southwestern Historical Quarterly article in October on Magee. Longer, more expansive version than the Handbook article. You have to be a member to read though.
