I have recently discovered a Youtube channel that an historian named Mark Felton runs. This guy seems like a good choice to replace what we used to call The History Channel.

This particular video seems familiar. Oh yeah, basically the plot of Steven Spielberg's 1941 movie.

I'm pretty sure I've heard of this submarine attack, but mostly just thought that the only Japanese attack on the continental US was via the weather balloon laden with bombs that killed a mom and most of her kids.

Mostly. Although he does cover the balloon bombs as well. And a confirmed Jap torpedo found unexploded on the surface of near the Golden Gate bridge

Mark Felton has been cited here lots of times. He's a great one to follow, just turn the playback speed up because he talks so slow
